DESCRIPTION:2nd Peace Initiative Talk - International  Students Overcomin
 g War -  As a follow up to our 1st Peace Initiatives Talk on October 6 ou
 r meeting on October 20 will be an opportunity to meet and engage with sev
 eral of the students in the International Students Overcoming War program 
 at Laurier University.  Our host will again be Dr. Gavin Brockett\, an 
 associate professor of History and Religion and Culture and associate dea
 n of Arts: Student Affairs and Learning. You don't need to have been at th
 e first meeting to benefit from attending this session.  As the promotion
  of peace is a key element in the work of Rotary\, interacting with these 
 ISOW students will enhance your understanding of what living in a conflict
  situation is truly like and what a passionate group of students are doing
  to promote peace. Light refreshments will be provided.  We wil be meetin
 g in the Board Room in the the Balsillie Centre for International Governa
 nce Innovation (CIGI). NB Note re Parking! - Free parking is available acr
 oss Erb Street in the Old Train Station / Waterloo Visitor's Centre at the
  corner of Erb Street West and Father David Bauer Drive. The deadline for 
 registering is Sunday\, October 19.
