A Presentation and Tour at the Research Institute for Aging Our noon meeting on Monday September 9 will be an informative and engaging visit to the Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging and will include a buffet lunch, presentation and tour. Agenda: The Institute: The Schlegel-UW Research Institute for Aging (RIA) is a charitable, non-profit organization that enhances the quality of life and care for older adults through research, education, and practice. We connect research to the real world and tackle the biggest issues facing an aging population. Our innovative approach to research is helping to change the way we age in Canada. For more information go to https://the-ria.ca Lunch: A buffet lunch will be provided with options for all (Fish & Chips Bites, Spaghetti Meatballs, Chicken Schnitzle, Seasonal Vegetables,) at $26.00 Parking: Paring will be available in the RIA/University Gates lot but please respect the Reserved Spots with overflow parking, if needed, available in the YMCA lot across the street. Registration: NB! The deadline for registration is Wendesday, Sepetmber 4, but we are limited to 30 participants so it may close sooner if this limit is reached. Family and friends are welcome to attend as well up to our registration limit. |

Online Auction Kick Off Our Online Auction will be our major fundraiser for this year and its success depends on all of us doing our part. Please be sure to join us on Monday, September 16, as we officially kick off this major event in our Rotary year. Topics covered will include: > How the Auction works The funds we raise through this event allow us to do much of the good we do in our community. Please make a special effort to attend this meeting and make your commitment to its success! NB! Pre-Registration and meal selection is required! Our meeting will be held at the Charcoal Restaurant. We will have a fully private room with lunch served at a cost of $32.00 with tax and gratuity included which is to be paid in advance as part of registering for the event. Doors open at 11:30 and lunch will be served at 12:00 noon. Deadline for registering is Thursday, September 12. Lunch includes coffee or tea as well as one of the following main entrée options. Indicate your meal selection and any dietary restrictions in the comment box on the registration confirmation screen. CORDON BLEU SANDWICH lightly breaded chicken breast, slow roasted ham, fontina cheese, honey dijon, garlic aioli, on an artisan bun. CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD grilled marinated chicken breast, romaine, radicchio, bacon, grana padano, croutons, lemon, with house Caesar dressing. VEGETARIAN PAD THAI stir-fried vegetables, fried egg, bean sprouts, spiced peanuts, rice noodles, scallions, cilantro, with sweet + sour peanut sauce. Riviera Salad blackened breaded chicken breast, avacado, cotija cheese, rice & beans, charred corn pico, iceberg lettuce, lime house tortilla chips, creamy southwest dressing. CREOLE CHICKEN NAAN'WICH blackened seared chicken served in a garlic toasted buttered naan bread with cabbage, tomato, spicy roasted vegetable aioli, and, onion crisps with fries. |
