On Saturday, February 28, 2026, members of the Rotary Club of Kitchener, along with friends and supporters, proudly participated in the annual Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) – Kitchener fundraising walk. This national initiative brings communities across Canada together to support local organizations that assist people experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, hunger, and other significant life challenges.
Coldest Night of the Year is more than a 2 km or 5 km winter walk. It is a powerful symbol of compassion, solidarity, and a shared commitment to making a meaningful difference for those who need support the most.

Our Contribution — A Step Toward Hope
We were proud to take part in CNOY as a team, uniting Rotary members, friends, and community partners around a common goal: supporting vulnerable members of our community and strengthening local services.

This year’s event was also supported by community leaders and elected officials, further highlighting the importance and impact of this initiative.

The Strength of the Rotary Community
Every step taken and every donation made represents real support for individuals and families facing difficult circumstances. The funds raised through Coldest Night of the Year help provide warm shelter, nourishing meals, and critical support services that offer dignity, hope, and a path forward.
We extend our sincere thanks to all members of our team — those who walked with us on event day and those who supported the campaign online. Your generosity, time, and dedication truly make a difference.

Thank you to everyone for:
walking and standing together in the cold;
contributing to the fundraising effort;
sharing the message and encouraging others to get involved.

Together, We Are Stronger
Coldest Night of the Year once again showed the power of community coming together with compassion and purpose. We are proud to have participated as Rotary Club of Kitchener and grateful to everyone who joined us — in Kitchener and in other communities across Canada.
We look forward to continuing our service and living the Rotary value of Service Above Self in the months and years ahead.
