Youth Exchange student Saimi from Finland, hosted by the Kitchener Rotary Club and a speaker at Kitchener -Westmount's luncheon on Wednesday January 29, meets fellow countryman Kitchener Rangers Coach Jussi Ahokas, following the Rangers thrilling 4-3 win over Owen Sound Attack on Friday night February 7 at The Aud.
Rotary Exchange student Saimi of Finland was ecstatic for not only being hosted in a corporate suite by Rotarian past president (2009-10) Ian Robertson, but having the group ticket closest to the winning number in the Rangers Reach 50/50 draw.
Saimi pocketed a modest consolation prize as delighted current Rotary 2024-25 presidents Mac Graham (Kitchener-Westmount) and Dave Chatson (Kitchener Rotary) pose for the moment. Dave and his wife Tara are the current host billet family for Saimi.
