President Dave Chatson named Peter Gray as a Bell Ringer for his quiet but extensive work on behalf of our club and the environment.

 

He also reminded the Foundation Committee members of the meeting at 4:15 on March 20 at KidsAbility.

 

Martin Jones on behalf of our club’s Foundation Committee indicated that the committee is seeking two additional members for the board of directors of the Foundation. The Board meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month starting at 4:15pm. The appointment will be for three years and will start on July 1. If interested, please contact Martin.

 

Members are reminded that they are invited to Jim Brown’s home on March 25 from 2:00 to 6:00 for Vino & Carrots. 408 Kelsey Dr. Waterloo. Please bring a bottle of wine for the Wheelbarrow.

 

David Chatson reminded members that tickets are available and auction items are still needed for our In Vino Caritas event.

Peter Gray, a member of our club for over 20 years made a detailed report to the members about the science and politics related to water as well as his extensive involvement in the informing and educating of politicians, the public and the children of the community.

 

An opportunity was offered to our club members to be part of an annual water event that Peter founded, held at the Regional Museum (on Homer Watson) on this Thursday from 11:30 until 1:30. You will be helping with serving, cleaning up as well as eating some soup. This is a chance to have our community see Rotary serving our community
