President's Remarks

President Paul reflected on our recent Turnover meeting and how great it was to reconnect with the KW Art Gallery.  Paul thanks those who were responsibility for the organization of the event - Dave Chatson, Bill Proctor, and Howard Pell.

Wine & Beer Quiz Question

There were two parts to our newly expanded Quiz this week:
First - If you followed up on Paul's request to make a social media posting about what you were doing on Canada Day, or forwarded a posting, then you got to fill in a ballot.
Second was a question
Question:  Who is the District Governor this year for our District?
Answer: Lesley Barmania

Bell Ringers

Two of our members were honoured at the recent District Changeover and Awards Night with Honorary Paul Harris recognition for significant service to the District - Tom Mennill for serving a term as District Secretary and then as District Treasurer; and Darren Sweeney for his work as the District webmaster.  President Paul was most pleased to make both Tom and Darren the Bell Ringers for this week.

Bill Proctor reminded members of the Cruisin' On King Street event this coming Friday.  We still need a few more volunteers.  On Tuesday, once the deadline for signing up has passed, Bill will be sending out details as to where and when members should show up on Friday.  There will be training at City Hall at 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and members who are able are asked to attend one if at all possible.
