Neil Swayze updated us on the status of Online Auction. We now have 213 items posted, having a fair value of about $55,900. Current bids total $13,600.
You should retrieve your signs after Saturday, and return them at the following meeting or on Distribution Day on November 23. A sign-up sheet will be posted shortly for 3 three hour shifts between 9 and 4.
Paul Rostrup noted that a new e-bike (obtained from one of Adrian DeCoo's contacts) and worth about $2,100, is still available for bids.
Paul Rostrup and Shawkey Fahel noted that the Board had recently agreed to provide a letter of support Club's to Canadian Development Organization (CIDO), a registered charity that is in the process of making arrangements to provide camping and musical instruments to scouting groups in the Middle East. It is hoped that this can evolve into a Rotary Global Grant.
Shawkey is off to the Middle East later this week to meet with several Rotary Clubs and Scouting groups. It is hoped that the program can foster better understanding and peace among the various parties.
Shawkey also noted that his father-in-law landed at Juno Beach and that both of his children celebrate birthdays today.
Bill Proctor has visited the Juno Beach Memorial and noted that it is staffed with Canadian youth.
50/50 Draw
Dave Martindale, Hubert Singh and Ernie Ginsler left the $144 on the table for next week.
