All of the Youth programs for which we have budgeted funds have been cancelled this year due to COVID-19. In place of these youth activities the club will be donating $650 to Junior Achievement to support their Education Programs which teach senior elementary students about Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship and Work Readiness.
On March 2nd at 7 p.m. the District Peace Committee is hosting Holly White, an inspiring Peace Scholar from Newfoundland/Labrador, on a zoom webinar for Rotary and Rotaract clubs. Friends outside of Rotary are invited as well.
On Friday, February 26th at 8:00 a.m. the Rotary Clubs of Waterloo Region are hosting a State of the Region event with Regional Chair Karen Redman as the keynote speaker. All local Rotarians are invited to participate. There is no cost to attend. Donations to KidsAbility would be greatly appreciated and can be made when you register. President Louise will be introducing the keynote speaker.

The Coldest Night of the Year walk took place on Saturday and in Kitchener over $220,000 was raised for Ray of Hope Community Centre by 62 teams. The Rotary Road Scholars team raised over $2,200 and the donation page remains open into March. This event was completed in 149 communities across Canada and raised over $9 million for local charities serving hungry, homeless, and hurting people in our communities. The Kitchener fundraising total was number #1 across Canada.

Our program today was a club assembly where the draft version of our new Club Vision was presented and discussed. A copy of the document was sent to all members previously.
During the workshop members were asked two key questions.
- What do you like about the plan, what excites you?
- Is there anything else that needs to be considered?
