CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS
Cam Yule gave a report on the recent In Vino Caritas event.  Our sponsorships at $20,000 surpassed our target of $16,00 but our ticket sales were below target - $9.500 instead of $15,000.  However several of our major expenses were less than expect (e.g., food and wine) and we cleared a profit of $20,323! Cam thanked all members who supported the event in any way.

Darren Sweeney provided more details on the Wilmot Rotary BrewHaHa last weekend and our efforts to promote the Rotary Local Lager.  He indicated that it was very successful and that many people at the event rated it very highly.  We will be promoting it at more events to come.  Darren also reminded members that our June 4 presentation will be by folks from Wellington Brewery to talk about the history of Craft Beer and about the Rotary Local Lager.  Samples will be available!

Darren also spoke about our Club's ClubRunner website.  It is very much underused and has many features that can be very helpful to committee chairs and members in general.  Darren will send out information to members on specific features for members to try.  Anyone needing support can contact Darren.

John Webster reminded everyone that our club is sponsoring a Home Hosting event on Monday, June 25 in conjunction with the RI International Convention in Toronto.  It will be in the board room at his company's head office in First Canadian Place.  We expect to have 24 international guests and all club members are invited to attend.  There will be a dinner and a guest speaker, an Indigenous Businessman.  The event will be posted on the club website once final details and costs are determined.

Jill Melanson reminded members that the annual KidsAbility Fun day is scheduled for June 9 this year.  Volunteers will be needed to work 9-12 on set up and running events, 10-2 on cooking and serving food and 12-3 on running events and clean up.  Volunteers are asked to let Jill know of the availability by May 30.

Martin Jones gave a report on the recent Camp Enterprise held at the University of Waterloo.  He thanked Tom Mennill for all of his work in organizing the vent.  Over 50 grade 11-12 students participated in a very successful program on business and entrepreneurship.  Martin also reminded members that our next Youth Forum will be on Wednesday, May 16 at Kitchener City Hall.  There ill be over 200, grade 10 Civics students continuing to learn about ;local government and presenting their ideas and how to make our city better.  There will also be two special Rotary presentations.  Our exchange students, Jess and Elyse, will talk about youth exchange and there will be a presentation on Camp Enterprise.

Adrian DeCoo let members know that preparations for this year's Car Draw fundraiser are now underway.  Caitlin Simpson, one of our Satellite Club members will be co-chairing the committee.  Lisa Talbot from KidsAbility will also be serving on the committee.  Victoria Starr motors will again be proving the car but the committee is looking to make some changes and add some new interest to the event.  Ideas and volunteers are welcome!

50/50 DRAW
Our pot is getting big, and is now at $760!  None of Russ St. Louis, Jim Brown, nor Ed Fowler found the Jack of Hearts so it will be even bigger next week.
